Most recruiters these days heavily rely on keyword search on LinkedIn to find their most ideal candidates, and they’re after more than just a job title and a company: They’re looking for specific skills and experience-based keywords. There could be thousands of people with your job title on LinkedIn, and titles can be subjective from company to company. If you’re not providing those additional keywords via thorough descriptions of your responsibilities and performance metrics in previous positions, you’re virtually invisible to recruiters who are looking for candidates beyond their applicant pool.
