About the Role
This person will be responsible for leading and growing their current team of two Account Executives, while personally prospecting and closing deals as a player/coach to begin with. Ideal candidates should have a strong sales track record within early-stage high-growth B2B SaaS/tech, and must have some leadership experience under their belt. Experience in location data, geospatial tech, or selling into insurance carriers is a huge plus.
You will Serve as a player-coach to personally generate revenue while building a successful sales engine.
and manage existing Account Executives, hire additional sales staff, and develop the team to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
You will drive the sales team to identify, qualify, negotiate and close large-scale complex deals within target markets, including insurance, utilities, infrastructure, mobility/transportation and other potential industries.
You'll Help develop and execute effective go-to-market (GTM) plans that align with overall strategy and drive company growth.
Create an open, collaborative, and inclusive team-oriented environment with a results-driven culture of accountability and transparency.
Create a scalable B2B sales playbook that tightens the deal cycle from close to finish.
Partner across Marketing, Product, Engineering and other internal teams to drive collaboration and great results for customers.
Set up sales dashboards, analytics and enablement tools to track and reach team goals and KPIs. Accurately forecast and report data, key insights and manage supporting metrics (pipeline coverage, sales productivity, lead generation, conversion rates, target accounts, etc.)
Strong customer orientation, with the ability to expand business with existing customers and bring our products into new market segments.
7+ years experience leading high-performing, quota-carrying B2B sales teams in SaaS, DaaS, PaaS or other strong technical software/hardware sales environments.
History of building early-stage sales organizations, exceeding revenue targets, and penetrating new markets and an entrepreneurial spirit that stops at nothing to get the job done and succeed.
Strong ability to recruit, manage, and retain exceptional sales talent and drive the team to deliver revenue.
Deep understanding of what it's like to work in an ambitious, high-momentum Series A startup during a period of rapid growth.
Operationally excellent with the ability to understand the complexities of a hybrid hardware, software and operations-based organization and product.
Experience selling to commercial and large enterprise customers with demonstrable understanding of technical sales and long, complex deals cycles.
Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills applicable to early-stage sales teams and new products, including experience with finding solutions with few resources.
Excellent customer negotiation, relationship management, and closing abilities.
Previous experience with revenue operations.
Outstanding written, verbal and visual communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, related field or relevant hands-on experience.
